Got a call from 1-646-827-4570, said hello 3 times, no one said anything, sounded like my own voice echoing. Next phone call they will get the F-Bomb!!!!

got called twice within 30 seconds of each other, heard my voice echoing hello and hung up and then called again when I hung up. this is a NYC number and i am in ontario. why are they calling me?

I have had it up to here with these jerk offs calling me all the time, maybe I should do a little of my own espionage and find some of the workers home phone numbers and call them at all hours...heck I have an amazing cellphone long distance contract they won't be able to know my number since it will blocked. have a nice day Yankee's!

Yeah it's called "protect private enterprise". It's more important to protect capitalism than consumers. Apparantly if you don't protect free enterprise then the communists will win and we will have no consumers anyways. Or so the reasoning goes with the government's 22,731 exceptions to the "DO NOT CALL" list baloney this coming September 2008. Government takes the approach: "Well private business creates all the jobs so if we don't bend over for them, we won't have jobs and we won't have a country ". Bunch of crap. So, unfortunately, you will continue to get 646-827-4570 calls all the time. I guess you could just try to block all calls from 646 area code (New York City).

I received a call from these losers yet again despite calling 647-477-8358 and selecting option #2 where I left a message asking the losers to quit making junk phone calls to my house. I can tell everyone that the company is "Ontario Consumer Credit Assistance." A new "do not call" system will begin in Canada at the end of September, but from what I've read, there are so many exceptions that registering your number will be a waste of time.

I received a call from these telemarketing jerks today (Sunday afternoon). I did not answer, but based on other peoples' comments regarding this number, I phoned 647-477-8358. Two choices were offered: dial "1" to have your number removed from their junk phone call list (like that will happen) or dial "2" to leave a message and someone will call you back immediately. I left a message giving my name and phone number and stated that I was calling to "ask you bozos to quit making junk phone calls to my house." I think I will do that a couple dozen more times today.

its US phone number. getting calls from them for a very long time now. called them back, asked to remove my phone number from the list, they promised, but never did.

got a call from this number today, could hear my 'hello' echo still no reply , so i hung up. Is there a canadian 'no call' list? Or can Canadians go on the american 'no call' list since the calls are coming from USA at times.

i live in collingwood ON and on July 10 around 9:pm
my phone rang and i answered not knowing who the caller is or was.......... the number was 1-646-827- 4570 and when i answered the phone there wasn't anyone there and 10 seconds later a busy signal came up. does anyone know where this area code comes from? i have looked all across Canada and haven't been able to find it anywhere here in Canada or in the States for that matter, if you know where the area code comes from would you please post it so I'll know the next time i see it on my phone.

Same story as everyone - I answered, no answer and 10 seconds later, the phone disconnected.

I just called this number using *67, the company is called the customer preference center, if you call them back and follow the prompt you can get your number removed from the list

I am in Toronto. This morning, I got a call from this number too (646-827-4570). When I picked up...no answer. Then few minutes ago, I got a call from 203-372-4819....same things happened, I picked up and no answer.

Called today flogging some "consumer protection plan". Telling you to call 647-477-8358 (I'm in Toronto, and that's a Toronto exchange for this company). But I do recognize the voice as the same woman calling herself Anna from the moving company. She used to call every week pushing The Moving Company. And the same woman who was pushing some "Home Staging" course from the Homes TV network. If you manage to take yourself off one of the call lists, they drop you on another pronto.

Any company that resorts to phone spam is blacklisted automatically here.

Got a call from this # today...waited but no one came on the line and then it sounded like they hung up. This was the 8 or 9th time I have been home when this # tried calling me. I call blocked and then dialed it back. It says its a customer survey line but provides an option to remove your #from their calling list which i did. It also indicates that they tried to call you but if you werent home or no answer that it will reschedule to call you back so you may want to do what i did.

Phone rang displaying this number today. Heard echos back from my "Hello" and there was lots of static on the line. Hung up after 10 seconds or so.
